FAQ
Are these UUIDs really unique?
A v4 UUID has 122 random bits — about 5.3×10³⁶ possibilities. Collisions are so improbable that systems worldwide treat them as unique without coordination.
Are the UUIDs generated here predictable?
No. They come from crypto.getRandomValues(), the browser's cryptographically secure generator, with the version and variant bits set per RFC 4122.
