Privacy
This tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter or open is sent anywhere. Privacy policy.
Limitations
- Comments and trailing commas are rejected because they are not valid JSON.
- Numbers beyond IEEE-754 double precision lose exactness, as in any JavaScript-based formatter.
FAQ
Why is my JSON reported as invalid?
Common causes: single quotes instead of double quotes, trailing commas, unquoted keys, or comments. The error message points to the first offending position.
Is pasted JSON sent to a server?
No. Parsing and formatting use the browser's built-in JSON engine with no network calls.
