Image tools that work on your device

Photos carry more than pixels: phone pictures often embed the GPS location and device they were taken with. These tools process images with the browser's built-in Canvas API, so the picture stays on your device while it is compressed, resized or converted, and nothing is stored anywhere afterwards.

Re-encoding an image through Canvas also drops embedded metadata, which is why the output of these tools does not carry the original EXIF data unless a tool says otherwise.

Resize and compress

Make images smaller for the web, email or upload limits.

Convert

Change formats, or move between images and PDF.

Privacy and web assets

Clean up photos and produce site icons.

Good to know

Is compression lossless?

No. JPEG and WebP output is lossy by design — you choose the quality trade-off. PNG output is lossless but often larger. Each tool shows the before and after size so you can judge.

Supported formats

Anything your browser can display can be read: JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF (first frame), BMP, and on most browsers AVIF. HEIC photos from iPhones are only readable in Safari.
