Split PDF / Extract Pages

Load a PDF and either pull out a page range (like 1-3,7) into a new document, or split every page into its own single-page PDF delivered as a ZIP. Everything happens locally in your browser.

On-device — downloads its library once PDF Free · no signup
Network notice: Your PDF never leaves your device. The open-source processing libraries (pdf-lib and JSZip, MIT license) are fetched from the cdnjs CDN the first time you use the tool.

How to use

  1. Drop a PDF onto the drop zone or click to browse — the page count appears once it loads.
  2. Choose a mode: extract selected pages into one new PDF, or split every page into its own file.
  3. For extraction, enter pages and ranges like 1-3,7,9- (9- means “page 9 to the end”).
  4. Click “Split & download”.

Examples

Pages 1 to 3 plus 7

Page 9 to the end

Supported formats

  • Input: standard (unencrypted) PDF files, up to 200 MB.
  • Output: one new PDF for an extracted range, or a ZIP of single-page PDFs.

Privacy

Your input is processed in your browser and is never uploaded. The first time you use the tool, your browser downloads its open-source processing library from cdnjs.cloudflare.com — the library is downloaded, your data is not sent. Privacy policy.

Limitations

  • Password-protected PDFs must have the password removed first.
  • Page ranges use the syntax 1-3,7,9- — commas for lists, dashes for ranges, an open end for “to the last page”.

FAQ

Can I extract just a few pages from a PDF?

Yes — choose “Extract pages”, type a range like 2,5-8, and you get a new PDF containing only those pages, in order.

Is my document uploaded for splitting?

No. Splitting runs in your browser with the open-source pdf-lib library; the file never leaves your device.

How do I split a PDF into separate pages?

Choose “Split every page” mode. Each page becomes its own PDF and all of them download together as one ZIP archive.
