GPA / CGPA Calculator
Add your courses with their credits and grades and get a correctly credit-weighted GPA — on the 10-point scale used across Indian universities or the US 4-point scale. The 10-point result also shows the widely used ×9.5 percentage conversion.
How to use
- Pick your grading scale (10-point or 4-point).
- For each course, enter its credits and select the grade — add as many rows as you need.
- Click Calculate: the GPA is the credit-weighted average, shown with total credits counted.
Examples
4 cr × A(9) + 3 cr × B+(8) + 3 cr × O(10) → GPA 9.0
Supported formats
- 10-point scale: O/A+ (10) down to F (0), the pattern used by most Indian universities.
- 4-point scale: A (4.0) through F (0) with +/− steps, the common US pattern.

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter or open is sent anywhere. Privacy policy.
Limitations
- Grade-to-point mappings vary by institution — check yours if it differs from the standard patterns offered.
- The CGPA × 9.5 percentage rule is the CBSE convention; many universities define their own conversion, so treat it as an estimate.
FAQ
How is GPA calculated with credits?
Multiply each course's grade points by its credits, add them up, and divide by total credits. A 4-credit A counts four times as much as a 1-credit A — which is why straight averaging of grades gives the wrong answer.
How do I convert CGPA to percentage?
The most common rule (from CBSE) is percentage ≈ CGPA × 9.5, which this calculator shows for 10-point results. Universities may publish their own formula — theirs wins for official purposes.
Is my data stored anywhere?
No. Courses and grades live only in the page while it's open — nothing is sent or saved.
